Since the establishment of SGTBIMIT in 2009, it has aimed to promote excellence in professional education and inspire research and extension work in the emerging areas of higher education in Management, B.voc & Aesthetics and Information Technology. Ever since its inception, SGTBIMIT has consistently shaped students who have outshined in academic and professional endeavors.
The SGTB Institute of Management & Information Technology provides a creative learning environment where the development of managerial skills and the discovery of principles, concept and values are the primary methodologies. We understand that knowledge can be classified into three broad categories: facts, skills, and understanding.
Facts are best taught through lectures and other didactic processes. Skills are habits that are developed through experience and practice. Understanding comes through discovery, by asking why, and then working out the answer.
Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Management & Information Technology (SGTB IMIT), an institution, was founded by the AVS society, with the primary aim of providing University Education in a friendly atmosphere for deserving students irrespective of caste and creed.
SGTBIMIT College is a located in a rural area at Sanaura near Bhogpur. It started functioning in 2009 with just 120 students on the rolls in two undergraduate courses of BCA & BBA.
SGTBIMIT is a degree level Institute, affiliated to I.K.G. Punjab Technical University. The University degrees will be conferred on the students passing the examinations conducted by the university.
SGTBIMIT was established to promote excellence in professional education and promote studies, research and extension work in the emerging areas of higher education in Management, B.Voc & Aesthetics, Information Technology.
Today, we have four courses (BCA, BBA, PGDCA and B.Voc & Aesthetics). At present, we have well educated teaching staff members & non-teaching staff in service.
To provide affordable quality education, while equipping students with knowledge and skills in their chosen stream, include values, identify the hidden talents, provide opportunities for students to realize them full potential and thus shape them into future leaders, entrepreneurs and above all a good human being.

My name is Navneet kaur. I came to Switzerland in 2019. Currently, I’m doing here Master of Business Information Systems at FHNW University. I am working from home in a Swiss company on a Software Testing and Web Development project. Having completed MCA from CTIMIT Jalandhar in 2015, I worked as Assistant Professor for 3 years in SGTBIMIT, Sanaura. I have not limited my task to just teaching, but prepared my students for life and challenges.
It was a very proud moment for me because I also did BCA from SGTB IMIT.
My journey to this institute was pleasant. A lot of memories were connected with my colleagues and students. I really appreciate to this institute and especially to chairman sir, who is doing great work for rural areas to provide the best environment, study material, infrastructure, helping unprivileged people, etc.
